The story of the prophet Samuel as a child demontrates the need for Christian teachers in the lives of children. Samuel was brought to the temple to live under the leadership of Eli, the priest at a very young age, but when God called out Samuel’s name, Samuel did not recognize God’s voice. Samuel’s teacher, Eli had to help Samuel understand that it was God’s voice. It also took Eli to help Samuel to understand how to respond.
ILCS Missions assists teachers in presenting simple projects to children of ALL ages in order to help them understand how to respond to God’s voice in helping others around the world by praying, giving, and going. Our projects focus specifically on helping other children in areas of the world who have needs that are often physical, financial, in addition to spiritual. Teachers can teach students about other countries, economies, and cultures, while praying for, and supporting missionaries around the world.
Our Current Projects:
The International League of Christian Schools is collecting box tops to help one of our own international schools, St. Croix Christian Academy, which serves over 200 students on the island of St. Croix. Outside of tourism, the island communities are often isolated and limited in resources. One great program, BOX TOPS for EDUCATION, provides $0.10 for every participating box top to be used by the school to purchase various products to help the school, including education technology. The island of St. Croix only has 62,000 inhabitants, which results in minimal impact on a program like this. However, by clipping the box tops and packaging of hundreds of products, and sending them to the ILCS office, you too can have an impact in the lives of children who are being taught God's word daily.
What Can You Do?
We understand that most schools already participate in this program to benefit the local school. Will your school be willing to 'tithe' 1/10th of your collected box tops to help a school in need? Please consider what a small sacrifice can do to advance the Kingdom of Heaven.
Box Tops are EVERYWHERE. Just look for the Box Tops for Education logo. For a complete listing of products visit the link at the top of this page.
Clip the label of the product, and send them to:

Sponsor a Child, Sponsor a School
Latin America Child Care represents the largest network of Evangelical Christian Schools in Latin America with 300 schools in 21 countries affecting the lives of nearly 100,000 children each day. During the 2012 ILCS/FLOCS National Educators Conference, LACC announced a new and exciting partnership program, along with BGMC, in which a Christian school or class can sponsor a LACC student and make a lasting difference in a child's life. For one school year, any classroom or school can sponsor a student in the grade of the teacher's choice. Giving will help to bring transformation to an impoverished child with the Good News of Jesus Christ through education and compassion. BGMC credit will also be applied to all contributions!
We are excited for what this program means for both the schools and children of Latin America, as well as teaching children of ALL ages the importance of reaching out to others in need of food, education, and the knowledge of Jesus. Dennis Robinson, ILCS Board President and longtime supporter of LACC schools shared the impact the program will have on the local school: "We are beyond excited to open the world of missions to our students. This partnership, School-to-School, classroom-to-classroom, and student-to-student, will enable our students to see the needs of the world beyond their front door, and help children their own age without ever leaving their classroom."
Additionally, schools who wish to reach out in a greater way (i.e. purchase textbooks, student supplies, technology, or help in building projects), should contact our office directly.
BGMC is the AG missions program for kids that instills a heart of compassion to reach the lost through praying, giving, and going. All funds raised through BGMC go to meet critical needs around the world such as feeding programs, water wells, Bible schools, curriculum, and whatever else a missionary needs in their part of the world."
Did you know? Among the Assemblies of God Missionaries, most were initially called to be missionaries while they were children!
